What we price
Five services, all priced per tender and all against your own rates: quantity takeoff, priced bill of quantities, tender submission, scope and contract review and variation pricing. Take one or take the lot. If you only want the measured quantities and intend to price them yourself, that is a common request and the fee drops accordingly. What is different about pricing an Adelaide package
State work comes through SA Tenders and Contracts, with council and private work through the builders and the usual platforms. The document formats differ from the eastern states, and a pricing schedule issued in the builder's own template gets completed in that template.
Adelaide's reactive clays are the ground condition that moves an earthworks price. Highly reactive soils change subgrade preparation, drainage and what a paving or structure base is actually worth, and the landscape drawings rarely carry the geotechnical detail that the building drawings do. Where the report does not extend to the landscape footprint, the subgrade lines get qualified.
The dry Mediterranean summer makes irrigation and establishment central rather than incidental. Water source, pressure and the length of the establishment period drive a larger share of the price here than they would in Brisbane or Melbourne, and a specification silent on any of the three is worth a clarification before it is worth a rate.

How do you price establishment and maintenance periods?
Against the handover date and the length of the period the tender specifies. In a dry summer climate those two things drive the number more than the plant schedule does, so both get checked against the program.
Do you allow for water restrictions in establishment pricing?
We price the establishment period the tender specifies and flag where the water source or pressure is unstated. What the restrictions cost is a rate question, and the rates are yours.
