Tender estimating in Canberra
Tendr prices commercial landscape tenders for Canberra subcontractors: the quantity takeoff, the bill of quantities priced to your own rates, and the submission package in the format the builder asked for. We are based in Melbourne and work Australia-wide from the drawings. Fixed fee per tender, quoted up front.
What we price
Five services, all priced per tender and all against your own rates: quantity takeoff, priced bill of quantities, tender submission, scope and contract review and variation pricing. Take one or take the lot. If you only want the measured quantities and intend to price them yourself, that is a common request and the fee drops accordingly. The services pages set out what each one covers and how the fixed fee works.
What is different about pricing a Canberra package
Territory work comes through ACT Government Procurement, and Commonwealth work through AusTender, which means a higher share of Canberra packages arrive with a formal submission structure and a compliance schedule attached. Those are completed in the issued format, because a submission marked non-conforming loses on paperwork rather than on price.
Canberra winters are the hardest planting constraint in any of the capitals. Frost and genuinely cold ground close the establishment window for part of the year, and a handover date on the wrong side of it carries a replacement risk that belongs in the clarifications. Concrete and paving programs run into the same limits.
The market is government-weighted, which tends to mean better documentation than private commercial work and less tolerance for a submission that does not follow the issued structure. The takeoff work is the same; the packaging is stricter.
Frequently asked questions
Do you work with Commonwealth tender formats?
We complete the submission in the format that was issued, including a formal pricing schedule or compliance table. A package that does not follow the issued structure risks being marked non-conforming regardless of the price.
Are you based in Canberra?
No. We are based in Melbourne and work Australia-wide. The takeoff is measured from the drawings, so the location of the project does not change how the work is done or what it costs.
What happens if a submission does not follow the issued format?
It risks being marked non-conforming, which loses the tender on paperwork rather than on price. Where a compliance schedule or pricing template is issued, we complete that template rather than substituting our own.
