Tender estimating in Geelong
Tendr prices commercial landscape tenders for Geelong subcontractors: quantity takeoff, priced bill of quantities against your own rates, and the full submission package. We work from the drawings, so being an hour down the highway makes no difference to the turnaround. Fixed fee per tender, quoted up front.
What we price
Five services, all priced per tender and all against your own rates: quantity takeoff, priced bill of quantities, tender submission, scope and contract review and variation pricing. Take one or take the lot. If you only want the measured quantities and intend to price them yourself, that is a common request and the fee drops accordingly. The services pages set out what each one covers and how the fixed fee works.
What is different about pricing a Geelong package
State and council work comes through Buying for Victoria alongside the City of Greater Geelong's own procurement. A lot of the commercial volume sits in the growth areas south of the city, where the landscape packages attached to new schools, health and community buildings look similar enough that a good rate library pays for itself quickly.
The coastal exposure is the part that catches people out. Anything near Corio Bay or out towards the Surf Coast is priced for wind and salt: plant selection changes, staking and establishment allowances change, and structures and fixings carry a durability requirement that inland work does not. If the specification is silent on it, that is a clarification, not an assumption.
Inland of the city you are back on basalt plains clay, with the same subgrade and rock questions that Melbourne packages raise. Which of the two a site actually is matters more to the price than the suburb name on the drawings.
Frequently asked questions
Do you need to visit the site?
No. The takeoff is measured from the drawings. Where the drawings do not support a proper measure, we flag the line rather than guess at what a site visit might have shown.
Is regional work priced differently to metro?
The fee is based on the size of the drawing set and the number of trades in scope, not the postcode. Your own rates are what carry any regional cost difference, and those are yours to set.
Do you price Surf Coast and Bellarine work as well as the city?
Yes. The difference that matters is not the council boundary, it is whether the site is coastal or inland, because that changes plant selection, fixings and establishment allowances rather than the measuring.
